Ammonites, shared our planet with the dinosaurs, 70 million years ago, it was the predecessor to the modern day South Pacific Nautilus. Ammonites were a favoured delicacy of the predatory marine reptile known as the mosasaur. Some ammonites has been cut and polished and has been wrapped in 925 sterling silver, some have been left as a specimen and some have not been cut at all, as they have ammolite (opal like flashes) on the outside. The spiritual qualities of this fossil shell, brings forth a sense of beauty, dignity and splendour with its seductive charm and charisma. The mineralogy of Ammonite shell is made of Aragonite.
