You would know Jeanette as our Resident Gemmologist on the FORUM...but Jeanette is an amazing Artist as well.

Jeanette Stein has loved gemstones and jewellery since she was a little girl.
Growing up she had admired her grandmother’s antique jewellery and developed an appreciation of this jewellery. As an adult, she began a collection of her own. During this time she decided to study gemmology to know for sure, that if she sold a piece of this antique jewellery, the gemstone description would be accurate. Many of the gemstones in antiques sold today are not always what they appear to be. Doublets, synthetics, imitations often stand in place of real gemstones. This in itself is not an issue unless it is sold as something that it is not. Whilst learning about the science of gemstones, Jeanette was advised to join her local lapidary club to learn the hands on part of gemstones. She loved the process and down to earth nature of the club members, and remains a lapidary club member today. Jeanette cuts and polishes many of her own stones and makes them into unique jewellery items, some of which can be seen at www.jameliadesigns.etsy.com Jeanette also focuses on the healing properties of the minerals that make up the gems and crystals. Jeanette is the author of the book The Magic of Minerals in Crystal Healing. This book features her research on the nutritional properties of the minerals within those crystals, and how they can account for the healing properties of the crystals.
